I have never felt so demanding. Maybe at one point I needed to feel like I was worth being fought for, but at the same time I always knew that I was never that worthy to begin with.
It's just that... You know... when people cited John Lennon's famous quote that goes: 'A dream we dream together is reality,' I always thought that the most painful part would be not having anyone to share the same dream with. Turns out, it's much more painful to think about having the same dream with a person all along but then feeling bailed out in the middle of the road.
Maybe, at the end, I was never meant to have any dream with anyone at all.
